With a synth riff that harks back to the glory days of rave, Black Mirror, from the Phase II EP,  Layton Giordani´s latest effort on Drumcode, is a moving track that recalls dark, foggy forests lit up by stroboscopic lights.

Juliet Fox - Wanted Me

Juliet Fox is a rising techno talent from Berlin, who´s been making waves in the scene thanks to collaborations with artists such as Arjun Vagale and Ramiro Lopez, which caught the attention of several major labels, including the mighty Drumcode. Included as part of the label´s seventh A-Sides compilation, her solo effort Wanted Me is a standout in the collection, for its distinctive groove and enigmatic voice samples.

Wehbba - Catarse

With his Catarse EP, Wehbba continues his incredible output of releases showcasing his talents in bringing out magical moments from the hardest techno grooves. Using melody and contrasting sounds, uniting the darkness and the light in his productions, he has been able to create some of the most engaging music of the year. Released by Drumcode, the EP contains four tracks of techno goodness, touching on everything from hard beats to minimal sounds to the power of a well-produced, killer melody.

Enrico Sangiuliano - A Further Existence

Enrico Sangiuliano is a DJ and producer from Reggio Emilia, a city located between Parma and Modena, in Northern Italy, who has been a staple of the Italian rave and techno scene since the late 90´s. His productions have been praised by the likes of fellow countryman Mauro Piccotto and played by well-established DJs such as Sven Vath, Adam Beyer, Gregor Tresher, Alan Fitzpatrick and Secret Cinema. His latest album, Biomorph, was released by Drumcode on June 1st, a collection of very high-quality techno that includes gems like the grumbling Cosmic Ratio, the intense Symbiosis, and our selection for today, A Further Existence, which is included as a digital-only track. Melody and rhythm intertwine each other to produce a very engaging, emotional track.

Hyperloop - In Your Mind (Reflections)

Riva Starr turns to making proper techno in Mentalizm, his side project Hyperloop´s release on Drumcode. Teaming up with Green Velvet on opener S-Sound, he then goes on to produce two other bangers, of which In Your Mind carries the most thump. A fitting release for this legendary techno record label.

Luigi Madonna - Unconditional Beauty

A thumping 4x4 beat drives this solid track by Italian producer Luigi Madonna, with a filtered and looped vocal sample making an appearance to increase the intensity of this techno monster. From the Background single out on Drumcode Records (DC135).
