Italian producer Fabio Neural´s new track Flow Beat mixes jumpy techno with vocal samples, creating a peak-time vibe that should result very effective for keeping an audience on their feet. 

Alex Mine & Binaryh - Pandora

Italy meets Brazil in this collaboration between Alex Mine and Binaryh, resulting in a sprawling, cavernous and chilling track, combining Mine´s penchant for dark beats and melodies with Binaryh´s more theatrical tendencies. Out of the Prometheus EP on Comade Music.

VSK, Symmetrical Behaviour and Conrad Van Orton - Deformation Gradient

Deformation Gradient, the chilling second cut of the Distorting Influence EP from VSK, Symmetrical Behaviour and Conrad Van Orton, is a dark, grinding track that threatens to fall apart, only to come back stronger, with an impending feeling of doom heightened by the spectral sounds in the background.

D-Deck & Alex Mine - New Odyssey

D-Deck and Alex Mine join forces once again, this time to produce the Icon EP, out on Phobiq Recordings, with three tracks of dark, intense techno. Closing the EP is New Odyssey, a track that feels like a chilling gust of wind thanks to stormy, enveloping synths.

Veerus and OC & Verde - Echota

Italian DJ and producer Veerus joins forces with Manchester duo OC & Verde to create Echota, part of the Wheel EP, released by Filth On Acid. The track´s techno beat is as tough as one would expect, with and added mysticism courtesy of very effectively used vocal samples and lots of reverberation, resulting in a massive, stratospheric sound.

Tom Hutt - Obey

A young producer from the island of Sardinia, Italy, Tom Hutt debuts on Phobic Recordings with Prisoners, a four-track EP that explores different shades of techno, from the subdued and harmonic tones of the first two cuts to the more beat-oriented and bassy sound of the last two, including Obey with its pulsating rhythm and floating synths. 

Alex Mine - Lost (2018 Version)

Turin´s Alex Mine brings us his reworking of his original 2017 tune Lost, accompanied by scorching remixes by Carl Cox and Roberto Capuano on Terminal M´s Lost 2018 EP. But it´s Mine´s unique touch what sets this heady, tough remake apart from the rest, his expertise in creating dark and hypnotic techno cuts that fill our need for killer beats.

Simoncino - Dune 2000

Simoncino is an Italian DJ and producer deeply influenced by the sounds of classic Chicago house and Detroit techno, embracing vintage synths and drum machines in his productions. In this case, he brings us Dune 2000, released on a split EP from Chiwax shared with Boo Williams. The tune is a deep and cerebral affair, with disjointed notes echoing across the space created by a subdued rhythm track, creating a low-key, intimate atmosphere.

Taster Peter - Eskimo Kiss

Hardcore-punk drummer, DJ, producer and owner of the Extravaganza record label, Taster Peter is the embodiment of the love of music, completely dedicated to creating and playing his tracks, as well as releasing work from other excellent artists. Eskimo Kiss combines techno´s solid pulse with Peter´s experimental leanings, resulting in a driving and vibrant tune, included in the Don Juan EP on Upon You Records.

Pisetzki - Conquer

Starting out as sound designer for the fashion industry, Italian DJ and producer Pisetzki turned to electronic music production in 2014 and has since played in events like the Off Sonar Week in Barcelona, the Innervisions Night in Venice and the ADE in Amsterdam. In Conquer, from the EP of the same name released by Suara Music, he pairs dark beats with a stabbing melody, creating a very unusual, and very intense, techno monster.

Fideles - Lotus

Tale Of Us´ Afterlife concept includes a series of events as well as a record label focusing mainly on the melodic side of techno. Their Realm of Consciousness Pt. III compilation features 15 tracks from artists like Recondite, Scuba, Edit Select and many more, and includes Lotus, by Italian duo Fideles, a cut that carries a unique groove and melody.

Boston 168 - Cosmic Tribe

With a nod to the past and a look to the future, Italian duo Boston 168 release their Drops in Heaven EP on Bpitch Control, with three tracks that explore the different sounds and textures of the genre, while adding their own personal touch. Cosmic Tribe opens the EP with a booming kick and clashing breaks, hailing back to the rave sound and giving it an intensity that´s partly subdued by the pulsating synths that ride along the rhythm.

Marco Faraone & Hertz Collision - Terraforming

A sinister kick introduces us to Terraforming, a track from the Solar Shade EP by Italians Marco Faraone and Hertz Collision, giving way to heavily modulated bouncing notes which imprint it with an unstable and mutating feeling. A weird but great record released by Uncage.

Roberto Capuano - Define

A Neapolitan artist who has immersed himself in dance culture since an early age, Roberto Capuano has since produced music that has been released by labels like Drumcode, Phobiq, Truesoul and Analytic Trail. His Define EP comes from Suara and is composed of four earth-shaking original tracks, of which we highlight the title track, with booming, menacing kicks and a sinister voice sample.

Enrico Sangiuliano - A Further Existence

Enrico Sangiuliano is a DJ and producer from Reggio Emilia, a city located between Parma and Modena, in Northern Italy, who has been a staple of the Italian rave and techno scene since the late 90´s. His productions have been praised by the likes of fellow countryman Mauro Piccotto and played by well-established DJs such as Sven Vath, Adam Beyer, Gregor Tresher, Alan Fitzpatrick and Secret Cinema. His latest album, Biomorph, was released by Drumcode on June 1st, a collection of very high-quality techno that includes gems like the grumbling Cosmic Ratio, the intense Symbiosis, and our selection for today, A Further Existence, which is included as a digital-only track. Melody and rhythm intertwine each other to produce a very engaging, emotional track.

Hyperloop - In Your Mind (Reflections)

Riva Starr turns to making proper techno in Mentalizm, his side project Hyperloop´s release on Drumcode. Teaming up with Green Velvet on opener S-Sound, he then goes on to produce two other bangers, of which In Your Mind carries the most thump. A fitting release for this legendary techno record label.

Distant Echoes - Road

Italian producer Distant Echoes serves up 3 dark techno tracks on the Fury Road EP (Dystopian 009). Sandwiched between the first and last tunes is Road, a bouncy piece of techno full of synth stabs and huge kicks.

Luigi Madonna - Unconditional Beauty

A thumping 4x4 beat drives this solid track by Italian producer Luigi Madonna, with a filtered and looped vocal sample making an appearance to increase the intensity of this techno monster. From the Background single out on Drumcode Records (DC135).
