UK Techno label Sleaze Records celebrates its 10-year anniversary by releasing an EP with four of its most notorious tracks remixed by top producers. Among remixes of originals by Rebekah, Bas Mooy and Flug, there´s Mark Broom´s take on Layday, a 2014 track from Par Grindvik. Equal parts melodic journey and jacked-up techno workout, this remix is sure to keep you guessing right up to the end.

Tube & Berger - International Corporate Motherfuckers (Teenage Mutants Remix)

German duo Tube & Berger released their second album We Are All Stars last year, which has gotten another remix treatment this year in a special release by Kittball, including a remix of International Corporate Motherfuckers by Teenage Mutants, who turn the tech-house grooves of the original into razor-sharp techno beats.

Sasha - Smoke Monk (VONDA7 6am Flight Remix)

The original version of Smoke Monk appeared in Sasha´s Fabric 99 mix earlier this year, a soothing, melodic tune that fit in nicely with the set´s vibe. On this occasion, versatile German producer and DJ VONDA7 lends her hand and reworks the tune by toughening up the beat, adding a swirling bassline and rearranging the melodic elements of the original, while keeping its dreamlike qualities intact.

Hidden Empire - Black Beauty (Drunken Kong Remix)

Drunken Kong give their unique touch to Black Beauty, a track out of Mind Palace, the debut LP from Hidden Empire, by applying a layer of delay and opening up the original´s spaces for trippy melodies and sound effects. Released by Stil Vor Talent in a 3-track remix EP.

Austen/scott - Space Taxi (Len Faki Hardspace Mix)

Berlin´s own Len Faki remixes Space Taxi, a 2016 tune from UK duo Austen/scott, beefing up the rhythm and giving the original a tougher stance, while keeping some elements like the vocal samples and the synth patterns, though with a slightly more psychedelic flavour.

Maksim Dark - Phantom (Carbon Remix)

Hamburg DJ and producer Carbon tackles Maksim Dark´s new track Phantom and infuses it with a distinctive groove, bringing out the tune´s most danceable aspects while keeping its darker undertones as well. 

Jon Hopkins - Everything Connected (Stephan Hinz Remix)

Earlier this year, Jon Hopkins released Singularity, his fifth studio album, another jaw-dropping collection of songs that add to his already impressive repertoire. Berlin producer Stephan Hinz takes the epic Everything Connected track off the LP and trims the edges, compresses the rhythm and confines the emotion to the breakdown.

Thomas Schumacher - When I Rock (Thomas Schumacher Remix)

Techno veteran Thomas Schumacher remixes his very own When I Rock, a 1997 track released on Bush Records that became a huge techno hit, thanks to its pounding beats, killer bassline and aggressive vocals. 20 years later, Schumacher gives the tune an update by bringing the BPMs down a notch, stretching the bass and adding a sharp acid line after the breakdown, but still keeping the flavour of the original. The remix EP, released by Arts, also includes the original version, as well as a stomping remix by Emmanuel.

Skream - Poison (Alan Fitzpatrick Remix)

Since his early days as a dubstep pioneer, Skream has undergone a transformation both as a producer and as a DJ. Embracing the club sounds of techno and house, he´s made a name for himself in this circuit as well thanks to his unique and eclectic style. Poison is a techno clanker released by We Are The Brave and remixed by label head Alan Fitzpatrick, who refurbished the groove and added a meaty acid line after the preachin´, twisted breakdown.

GusGus & Metodi Hristov - Magenta (Skober Remix)

Fusing hard beats and an acid line to the progressive stylings of the original, Skober´s remix of Magenta from GusGus and Metodi Hristov turns it into a stomping techno track that also carries a melodic edge. Record label Set About released Magenta as a 9-track EP that includes 8 remixes of the title track from Frankyeffe, Teenage Mutants, Maksim Dark, among others, as well as remix of GusGus´ Featherlight by Hristov.

Drunken Kong - One (Michael Klein Remix)

Having ruled over the Tokio underground since their first collaboration in 2010, Drunken Kong has then proceeded to release their music on international labels like Tronic, Terminal M and Transmit Recordings, which has, in turn, gained massive support from top players in the scene. The duo gained notoriety with their energetic DJ sets and quality productions, and a taste of their style is showcased in their Repeat EP, out on Octopus. Apart from three pumping and head-on original tracks, the release also features a remix from Berlin producer Michael Klein, who offers a raw, minimal take on One.

Nerdjack - Underground Diva (Matt Sassari Remix)

Starting from the trippy, jacking original by Nerdjack, Matt Sassari refashions the house beats and trades them for a harder-edged techno base, keeping the flow of the tune while making it sound heavier. It´s a stomping extravaganza, complete with a mysterious vocal sample and buzzing effects. Released by the great Kling Klong.

Lag - Kontrola (Bas Mooy Remix)

A scary remix by Mord label head Bas Mooy of an original tune by Serbian producer Lag (MORD014). Full-on demented techno perfect for thrashing the dancefloor.

Paul Woolford - Erotic Discourse (Dense & Pika Remix)

This huge classic track from Woolford gets the Dense & Pika treatment, resulting in a deadly combo. Another one from Hotflush (HFRMX011D) and, as usual, it´s a cracker.
